If I got some fantastic news, my first instinct would be to drop to my knees, throw my hands in the air, and belt out a Hallelujah—all the while saying “Thank you, Jesus!” of course. Now, if I was driving when the news hit, that might get a little tricky (and potentially lead to me making headlines for all the wrong reasons). I’d have to settle for whispering a quiet “Thank you, Jesus” in my head and keeping my hands on the wheel, just to be safe.
But oh, imagine if I had the nerve to go all out in public! Would people stare at me like I’d just sprouted a second head? Maybe they’d whisper, “Should we call someone? Is this person okay?” Or maybe they’d just whip out their phones to make a viral moment out of it—”Look at this person praising Jesus in the middle of the street!” Would they ask me what happened? What’s so great? And, of course, would I share the joy with them, or keep it to myself, like a secret treasure?
Either way, whether it’s private or public, the joy of that moment would be too good not to share in some way. Amen to that! 🙏💫
